The Krishna Gana Sabha (KGS) is a premier institution – one of the most respected, well-established, and dynamic cultural institutions in India today which has featured more than 15,000 events comprising of Music, Dance, Drama & Discourses since 1953.
- Since the Sabha’s humble beginning in 1953, it has played host to some of the greatest exponents of Indian music, dance, drama and religious discourse.

Since its inception in 1953 the KGS has been committed to preserving and promoting the Country’s rich cultural heritage of the Classical fine arts in the fields of Dance, Music, Drama, Discourses, Educative Conferences, Nama Sankeerthanam.
The Sabha also supports and presents new and innovative work by Indian and international artists from a diverse range of genres including contemporary & fusion music, folk arts, contemporary dance & drama.

The Sabha is recognised as an institution that is rooted in tradition but with a curiosity for innovation & confluence and an appetite to experiment with it.

Art is Universal – Amongst them are the Indian Classical Art forms which are considered to contain a divine element due to their ability to stir the soul.
Our aim similarly, is to provide a state of the art platform for such Classical arts including Music, dance & theatre to flourish as well as to present new and inno-vative work in the field of performing arts.
