- By Air: The nearest airport is Bhavnagar Airport (about 51 km away), which has regular flights connecting Ahmedabad and Mumbai. From the airport, taxis and buses are available to Palitana. Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (around 215 km away) is a better-connected option for travelers from other parts of India and abroad.
- By Train: Palitana has its own railway station with connections to Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad, and other major cities in Gujarat. The Palitana–Bhavnagar line is the most common route. From the station, autos and taxis are readily available to take visitors to the temple base.

The ideal time to visit the Palitana Jain Temples is during the cooler months from October to March, when the weather is pleasant and suitable for climbing the long flight of steps to Shatrunjaya Hill. Summers (April–June) can be extremely hot, and monsoons (July–September) may make the steps slippery, so these seasons are generally avoided.
