I got a 2 compartment hinged wood jewelry box with a craved dragon or like one with lower panel lock. The sides are similar to kashmir but I can’t seem to find match to top. Are there any marks that let me know if it is kashmir or the other artist. I saw where you can custom order so I not sure. Blog interesting but no pic of what I got that saw.
It sounds like Guy Wintermute is describing a specific type of jewelry box they have acquired and is trying to determine its origin or the artist who made it. They mention that it has two compartments with hinges, is made of wood, and features a carved dragon design. They also note a lock on the lower panel and mention that the sides of the box resemble Kashmiri craftsmanship but are unsure if the top matches this style. They are looking for any identifying marks that might confirm if it is indeed from Kashmir or made by another artist. Furthermore, they indicate that they’ve seen options for custom ordering such products, suggesting that the box could be a custom-made piece. Finally, they express interest in your blog but note that they couldn’t find a picture of a similar item there.
Readers, can any of you help Guy Wintermute?
