Have a look here at the intoxicating ‘Divine Beauty’ right outside ‘Shri Arunachaleshwarar Temple in Tiruvannamalai‘, in the South Indian State of Tamilnadu :
(Photography By Mala Chandrashekhar, During Her Recent Trip To Tiruvannamalai)
South India is one place where there is no dearth of flowers, both for Pooja ( Daily Worship ) and Shikhai Alankaram (Indian Hair-Dressing). Here are a few pictures from outside the sacred Arunachaleshwarar Temple of Holy Tiruvannamalai. Inside the temple, it’s an Astral World, a Kailasha, with intense Divine Feelings. But inside the temple, photography is strictly prohibited. Hence no photographss could be taken inside the shrine, though I would have loved to capture the soul stirring ambience inside the Temple.
This Temple is the biggest Shiva Temple in the whole of India. Ohh Heavens !!! The shrine is unusually Huuuuuuge. Absolutely mesmerizing & beyond description. It’s humanly impossible to express the Divine Experience, both inside & outside the Shrine. Truly one of its kind in both architecture & Divinity, making every single one wonder, if the architecture of ancient & medieval India really so out of this petty mundane, temporal world, leaving us helplessly mumbling for suitable words !!!
