Gokul Santol Sandalwood Talc of TSR & Company, India ,has been my great favourite, ever since I can remember my life history.

I started using this talcum powder, when I was a small school kid & surprisingly, it has become my permanent companion for life, & I am still using it, even after my Shashtiabdhapoorthy.

The Company Website proudly says,

“Our flagship product, ‘Gokul Santol Talcum Powder‘ is one of the most popular brands in the market. This is attributed to the quality of the product and the trustworthiness of Gokul Brand.

Sandalwood, the key ingredient, is procured from Sandalwood plantations and subjected to a complex treatment process which converts it into a form usable for personal care.

Gokul Santol also contains some of the finest natural essential oils that are therapeutic and safe for the most sensitive skin. It is one of the few skin care products of today that has remained unchanged in formulation for the last 50 years.”

The other well known products of TSR & Co, are the various mesmerizing fragrances of Agarbattis.

My mother, who is almost eighty now, has very fond memories about these Agarbattis in her childhood days in Kumbakonam.

She used to say that the very gush of divine fragrance in the air, while walking down to school, was an immediate indication that she was very near TSR & Co.

The company originally was perhaps, founded in Kumbakonam.
